Start the year right with Men’s Health

Men’s Health Philippines provides you what you need to kick start your goals this 2013 with an issue packed with useful tips to help you get back in shape and maintain a healthier lifestyle.

On the cover is actor Robin Padilla who at 43-years old is still at his physical prime. A student of many martial arts, Padilla shares the benefits of his constant practice to stay in shape. β€œKapag fit ka kasi, maliwanag ang isip mo eh,” Padilla says. He adds that remaining active is all about being smart with the way you train. β€œKailangan maingat ka rin at hindi puro yabang. Kapag hinaluan mo nun, walang mangyayari sa’yo.”

Despite the changing showbiz landscape, Padilla remains a mover and a shaker within its ranks. He reveals that constantly looking for ways to evolve will help you thrive in any cutthroat industry. β€œWalang taong naging matagumpay na hindi niya tinanggap β€˜yung nasa harap niya.”

The January 2013 issue also features the Belly Off All-Stars composed of six men who conquered their respective weight-loss battles and managed to maintain a healthy lifestyle. They share how they worked through their struggles in the battle against the bulge. Included in this group is comedian Bearwin Meily and model Ed Mendez.

Readers also get a bonus this month as the issue comes with the Men’s Health Jumpstart Guide. The small booklet contains fitness and nutrition tips on how you can blast fat and eat healthy, yet flavorful meals. The perfect companion to get your fit and healthy 2013 started.

Will post a review of the February issue soon. Also, the info-packed Runner’s World’s contents.

A lightweight, formfitting and virtually seamless Nike Flyknit upper combined with the super plush, responsive Lunarlon cushioning.

The Nike Flyknit upper is engineered to provide a precision fit for the specific needs of the foot, helping the shoe to adapt the foot in motion. Nike Flywire wraps the foot for a dynamic fit. And the Lunarlon midsole works with a supportive, bottomless carrier for lightweight, springy response. The Nike Flyknit Lunar1+ shoe is designed to perform.

That would be my foot in the Nike Flyknit Lunar1+ before the trial run.

Nike Flyknit was created for performance in world-class marathon events, and many elite runners have crossed the finish line in the Nike Flyknit Racer, part of the first Nike Flyknit collection.

The Nike Flyknit Lunar1+ will be available at Nike Park Fort and Nike Stadium Glorietta 2 from February 1, 2013.

No matter what camera you use – this shoe looks great. πŸ™‚ And indeed, after taking it on a good short run, I am amazed.

I picked the exact size for my feet – no allowance. I can really feel the cushioning at every stride. Glad to say that for my foot strike – this shoe works so well.

We ran at a pace of 7 minutes per kilometer only. Indeed-

the shoe accomodates the natural motion of the foot.

Majority of the runner-bloggers in attendance agrees. This shoe is something worth the try.

For me – it was love at first try! πŸ™‚

I can’t wait to have one and take it on a very long run.
