God is just. Period. This is just one of the many awesome qualities He has. This is also our focus here – for this writing. From the Old to the New Testament of God’s Word.

Deuteronomy 10:17 New Living Translation
“For the LORD your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed.

Deuteronomy 24:16 New Living Translation
“Parents must not be put to death for the sins of their children, nor children for the sins of their parents. Those deserving to die must be put to death for their own crimes.

Isaiah 3:10-11 New Living Translation
Tell the godly that all will be well for them. They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned! But the wicked are doomed, for they will get exactly what they deserve.

Jeremiah 32:19 New Living Translation
You have all wisdom and do great and mighty miracles. You see the conduct of all people, and you give them what they deserve.

1 Samuel 2:3 New Living Translation
“Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the LORD is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions.

Job 34:17-19 New International Version
Can someone who hates justice govern? Will you condemn the just and mighty One? Is he not the One who says to kings, ‘You are worthless,’ and to nobles, ‘You are wicked,’ who shows no partiality to princes and does not favor the rich over the poor, for they are all the work of his hands?

Ecclesiastes 3:17 New Living Translation
I said to myself, “In due season God will judge everyone, both good and bad, for all their deeds.”

Ecclesiastes 11:9-10 New Living Translation
Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do. So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-2 New Living Translation
Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore. Remember him before the light of the sun, moon, and stars is dim to your old eyes, and rain clouds continually darken your sky. Remember him before your legs–the guards of your house–start to tremble; and before your shoulders–the strong men–stoop. Remember him before your teeth–your few remaining servants–stop grinding; and before your eyes–the women looking through the windows–see dimly.Remember him before the door to life’s opportunities is closed and the sound of work fades. Now you rise at the first chirping of the birds, but then all their sounds will grow faint.

Ezekiel 18:20 New Living Translation
The person who sins is the one who will die. The child will not be punished for the parent’s sins, and the parent will not be punished for the child’s sins. Righteous people will be rewarded for their own righteous behavior, and wicked people will be punished for their own wickedness.

Psalm 28:4 New Living Translation
Give them the punishment they so richly deserve! Measure it out in proportion to their wickedness. Pay them back for all their evil deeds! Give them a taste of what they have done to others.

Psalm 62:11 New Living Translation
God has spoken plainly, and I have heard it many times: Power, O God, belongs to you; unfailing love, O Lord, is yours. Surely you repay all people according to what they have done.

Psalm 94:9 New Living Translation
Is he deaf–the one who made your ears? Is he blind–the one who formed your eyes?

Proverbs 24:12 New Living Translation
Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.

Matthew 16:27 New International Version
For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

Acts 10:34-35 New Living Translation
Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.

Romans 2:9-11 New Living Translation
There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil–for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good–for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.

Romans 9:13-16 New Living Translation
In the words of the Scriptures, “I loved Jacob, but I rejected Esau.”  Are we saying, then, that God was unfair? Of course not! For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it.

Ephesians 6:8-9 New Living Translation
Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free. Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.

2 Thessalonians 1:6 New International Version
God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you.

Colossians 3:25 New Living Translation
But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.

Hebrews 6:10 New International Version
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

Revelation 15:3 New Living Translation
And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations.

His Word confirms it:

  • He is just or fair or morally right
  • He plays no favoritism
  • He remembers when you help His people
  • He remembers the love you show
  • He rewards us for the good we do
  • He accepts those who fear Him and do what is right
  • He gives glory, honor, and peace, to all who do good
  • He pays us for what we deserve
  • He repays us for what we have done
  • He gives us what we deserve
  • He shows no partiality
  • He cannot be bribed

Hence, we sing – ♪ Worthy is the Lamb / Seated on the Throne / Glory Honor Power to Him Alone / We will Bow to You / Wise and Just and True / Full of Glory Reign Forevermore! ♫
