Thank God! Praise Him! Worship Him!
Only God is worthy of it all! Our thanksgiving, our praise, and our worship.
For WHO He is.
God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease.
“I am the LORD, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed.
It is the LORD who created the stars, the Pleiades and Orion. He turns darkness into morning and day into night. He draws up water from the oceans and pours it down as rain on the land. The LORD is his name!
Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the LORD.
God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.
Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands
For the LORD sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.
For WHAT He does.
He reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in darkness, though he is surrounded by light.
He rescues the poor from the cutting words of the strong, and rescues them from the clutches of the powerful.
“He uncovers mysteries hidden in darkness; he brings light to the deepest gloom.
“For God watches how people live; he sees everything they do.
I am watching them closely, and I see every sin. They cannot hope to hide from me.
The LORD is watching everywhere, keeping his eye on both the evil and the good.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
Psalm 35:10 With every bone in my body I will praise him: “LORD, who can compare with you? Who else rescues the helpless from the strong? Who else protects the helpless and poor from those who rob them?”
God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right.
- Psalm 32:11
So rejoice in the LORD and be glad, all you who obey him! Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!
You who love the LORD, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked.
He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.
Psalm 145:19 He grants the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cries for help and rescues them.
For WHAT He gives.
Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.
As an act of thanksgiving, praise and worship to God, we ought to:
Jonas 2:9 But I will offer sacrifices to you with songs of praise, and I will fulfill all my vows. For my salvation comes from the LORD alone.”
Psalm 50:14 Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High.
- Psalm 50:23 But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.”
Ecclesiastes 5:4 When you make a promise to God, don’t delay in following through, for God takes no pleasure in fools. Keep all the promises you make to him.
Romans 12:1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice–the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
Romans 15:1-2 We who are strong must be considerate of those who are sensitive about things like this. We must not just please ourselves. We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.
Acts 5:29 But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority. (meditate on the right application of this word)
- Acts 4:19 But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him?
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.
1 Corinthians 7:23 God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world.
Ephesians 5:20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
James 4:15 What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.”

Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
Philippians 3:2-4 Watch out for those dogs, those people who do evil, those mutilators who say you must be circumcised to be saved. For we who worship by the Spirit of God are the ones who are truly circumcised. We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us. We put no confidence in human effort, though I could have confidence in my own effort if anyone could. Indeed, if others have reason for confidence in their own efforts, I have even more!
1 Thessalonians 5:18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 1:15 But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.
- Leviticus 19:2 “Give the following instructions to the entire community of Israel. You must be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.
1 John 3:16 We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.
1 John 4:11 Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
