John 10:10

Living For Christ Now

Everything is anchored on Faith, Hope, and Love.

New International Version
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

New Living Translation
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

English Standard Version
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Yes, that includes everything you have now, and what is coming to you.

The devil would steal it, kill your hope, destroy your faith, and the love you have and find a way to prevent you from receiving.

They will STEAL

  • anything you have now – if you are not careful to be on guard.
  • anything that you expect to have.
  • your faith. your hope. the love…

God in ABC

God is more than what the alphabet can describe. What we know of Him is from our experience and His own revelation. Read on…A collection of literal verses from the Bible.

Alive / Able / Almighty

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

Beautiful

Psalm 116:5 New International Version

Psalm 145:8 NET Bible

Deliverer

Psalm 144:2 A Psalm of David. New International Version
He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.

Matthew Henry Commentary
144:1-8 When men become eminent for things as to which they have had few advantages, they should be more deeply sensible that God has been their Teacher. Happy those to whom the Lord gives that noblest victory, conquest and dominion over their own spirits. A prayer for further mercy is fitly begun with a thanksgiving for former mercy. There was a special power of God, inclining the people of Israel to be subject to David; it was typical of the bringing souls into subjection to the Lord Jesus. Man’s days have little substance, considering how many thoughts and cares of a never-dying soul are employed about a poor dying body. Man’s life is as a shadow that passes away. In their highest earthly exaltation, believers will recollect how mean, sinful, and vile they are in themselves; thus they will be preserved from self-importance and presumption. God’s time to help his people is, when they are sinking, and all other helps fail.

Enables / Everlasting

Exodus 4:11 New International Version
The LORD said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the LORD?

Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.

God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to those who please him. This, too, is meaningless–like chasing the wind.

Ecclesiastes 6:2 New Living Translation
God gives some people great wealth and honor and everything they could ever want, but then he doesn’t give them the chance to enjoy these things. They die, and someone else, even a stranger, ends up enjoying their wealth! This is meaningless–a sickening tragedy.

Psalm 11:7 New International Version

Isaiah 41:10 New International Version

Matthew Henry Commentary
6:1-6 A man often has all he needs for outward enjoyment; yet the Lord leaves him so to covetousness or evil dispositions, that he makes no good or comfortable use of what he has. By one means or other his possessions come to strangers; this is vanity, and an evil disease. A numerous family was a matter of fond desire and of high honour among the Hebrews; and long life is the desire of mankind in general. Even with these additions a man may not be able to enjoy his riches, family, and life. Such a man, in his passage through life, seems to have been born for no end or use. And he who has entered on life only for one moment, to quit it the next, has a preferable lot to him who has lived long, but only to suffer.

Matthew Henry Commentary
2:18-26 Our hearts are very loth to quit their expectations of great things from the creature; but Solomon came to this at length. The world is a vale of tears, even to those that have much of it. See what fools they are, who make themselves drudges to the world, which affords a man nothing better than subsistence for the body. And the utmost he can attain in this respect is to allow himself a sober, cheerful use thereof, according to his rank and condition. But we must enjoy good in our labour; we must use those things to make us diligent and cheerful in worldly business. And this is the gift of God. Riches are a blessing or a curse to a man, according as he has, or has not, a heart to make a good use of them. To those that are accepted of the Lord, he gives joy and satisfaction in the knowledge and love of him. But to the sinner he allots labour, sorrow, vanity, and vexation, in seeking a worldly portion, which yet afterwards comes into better hands. Let the sinner seriously consider his latter end. To seek a lasting portion in the love of Christ and the blessings it bestows, is the only way to true and satisfying enjoyment even of this present world.

 Tasty / True / Trust

Psalm 34:8 New Living Translation
Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!

Psalm 71:5 American King James Version
For you are my hope, O Lord GOD: you are my trust from my youth.

Upright

Deuteronomy 32:4 New Living Translation
He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!

Victory

Exodus 15:2 New Living Translation
The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him–my father’s God, and I will exalt him!

Wonderful / Worthy

Psalm 105:2 New Living Translation
Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.
Revelation 4:11 New Living Translation
“You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

The 18th of February 2017

We adjusted our Prayer Watch time from 12:00nn to 6:00pm to 6:00am to 12:00nn. All for the purpose of a mission: to go to Pampanga and have my Parent-in-Law accept the Lord.

We are just hoping for the best. We do not know how it will be.

So we traveled on the same day to Pampanga. Late afternoon, we arrived. Dinner. After dinner, we’re ready for bed – but we do intend to praise and worship the Lord and pray. My wife invited her parents if they wish to join – at least listen. They did!

By God’s grace, after a few song – I started to pray. God’s wisdom is indeed way too awesome compared to ours. No mind can conceive what He has prepared.

I was lead by the Holy Spirit into prayer – a prayer preaching. Asking the Lord to remind us of all the good things He has done for us. Since, we are singing that He is good, that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father. We just started thanking Him for all the good things He has done for us, and every great gift we received. Even our life! our breath! Then I mentioned about His love for us – in prayer. How He loved us and where is it written in the Bible. How we need a Savior – since we cannot save ourselves and that Jesus is the Savior, the only Name given to whom salvation may be found and that all authority in heaven and in earth was given to Him, that He is the only way to the Father, the truth and the Life. That in His presence, there is freedom – from sickness, from worries, from weakness. That in Him, if we believe, we will have eternal life.

Then, I invited them to accept the Lord. They just obliged. I asked twice if they are willing. They followed the prayer and all glory and honor to God! They received and accepted the Lord!

It was an open heaven!

Right after they received, I prayed for Healing! For Peace, and Joy in their hearts!

I then followed the instructions of the Holy Spirit. I anointed them to receive the following:

  1. Eternal Life
  2. Renewed Strength
  3. Healing

img_20170218_215559

Then, I started talking about how to pray and taught them. We also prayed for the desires of their heart. Among which are as follows:

  • For love to bind the entire family, from their Children down to the Grandchildren
  • For the students in the whole family to finish study and graduate
  • For a prosperous life of their Children down to the grandchildren
  • For their long life

My wife Cora showed them too, what to read in the Psalms. But we trust the Lord for their teachings. I already mentioned to them the Life in Christ teaching. It will happen soon…

img_20170218_215826

God worked and moved mightily! We prayed for this! We do not know exactly how it will happen but it did! The power of an earnest prayer of the righteous! James 5:16

Worth mentioning too, before this day, is the acceptance too of Lola Siony! She’s already 92, and she believed and accepted the Lord – by witnessing a praise and worship done by the CLSF Paco, House of Prayer, in our Friday Night Shabbat!

Daniel 3:25

New Living Translation
“Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!”

New American Standard Bible
He said, “Look! I see four men loosed and walking about in the midst of the fire without harm, and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods!”

God doesn’t need our help. We are the one who is in need. We are the ones who get harmed, attacked, hurt, bound, tied, and thrown. Who can do any of such things to God?

V.20 of the same Chapter of Daniel is as follows:

20Then he ordered some of the strongest men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace.

Picture this. You are tied. You are carried and thrown down to a blazing furnace – unusually hotter than ever!

What will happen to you now?

  • broken bones from falling
  • burned hair and skin to the extreme
  • body turned to ashes

BUT, that is not the case with the three (3). They are unharmed! No burns! No nothing! The only thing that’s burned and turned to ashes are the ropes that’s tied to them. Nothing else. Not even their garments or what they are wearing from head to foot was burned. Who can do this kind of saving or rescue to anybody? Who can make the fire not burn anything? Who can make the bones not break from falling? God alone! Our Almighty God and Father!

More than what the Lord can do, you should have asked why the Lord spared the 3. Right?

Daniel 3 New Living Translation

15I will give you one more chance to bow down and worship the statue I have made when you hear the sound of the musical instruments. But if you refuse, you will be thrown immediately into the blazing furnace. And then what god will be able to rescue you from my power?”

16Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you.17If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”

  • They have complete trust in God
  • They refuse to bow down to any idol other than God
  • They made a declaration
  • They are undefiled (Chapter 1)

How awesome is that? That’s more than just bravery or any courage known to men. That’s also more than just loyalty to God!

Daniel 3:28 New Living Translation
Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel to rescue his servants who trusted in him. They defied the king’s command and were willing to die rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.

Daniel 3:17 God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom. And God gave Daniel the special ability to interpret the meanings of visions and dreams.

Trust in God. Trust also in Jesus.

None Like our God

Who can compare to the Lord God Almighty?

there-is-none-like-you

While we are told to be imitators of God, we are still not God. While the Lord Jesus empowered us to do greater things than the likes of what He did, again, we are still not God.

  • God is great!
  • His name is full of power (might).
  • God is Holy!
  • He alone is God.
  • He alone can do what He can.
  • God is awesome!
  • God rescues the helpless
  • God protects the helpless and poor
  • God is love.
  • God is merciful and compassionate.
  • God is able.
  • God is just.
  • God is faithful.

Jeremiah 10:6 New Living Translation
LORD, there is no one like you! For you are great, and your name is full of power.

1 Samuel 2:2 New Living Translation
No one is holy like the LORD! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

1 Chronicles 17:20  English Standard Version
There is none like you, O LORD, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

Psalm 86:8 New Living Translation
No pagan god is like you, O Lord. None can do what you do!

Psalm 35:10 New Living Translation
With every bone in my body I will praise him: “LORD, who can compare with you? Who else rescues the helpless from the strong? Who else protects the helpless and poor from those who rob them?”

Exodus 15:11 New Living Translation
“Who is like you among the gods, O LORD–glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, performing great wonders?

Psalm 89:8 New Living Translation
O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies! Where is there anyone as mighty as you, O LORD? You are entirely faithful.

Psalm 113:5 New Living Translation
Who can be compared with the LORD our God, who is enthroned on high?

So who is like our God in all the earth? None. Period.

Read between the lines. We are nothing compared to the Lord’s majesty. We should not even compare. We cannot even outdo nor outgive God. Even our life and breath is from Him! There’s just none like the Lord our God. Yes, we are His sons and daughters. But we are still NOT God! Put your trust in Him. Put your faith in Him. Give your Hope in Him. Totally rely on His great mercy and love. Let Him be your protection and defense! Let Him be the Father that He is to His son!

Who May Enter?

Who may stand in the Lord’s presence?

Who may enter the heaven’s gates?

slide_7

It’s not about the song or what you are singing. Praise and Worship is about the HEART of the one praising and worshipping. You cannot enter in the Lord’s presence or His holy throne if your heart is not right.

You can sing all you like. You can sing all you want. If your heart is not cleansed, nor consecrated, you really cannot enter His Holy presence.

It’s alright to disagree if you really believed you are in right. Just close this page. 🙂

Deuteronomy 23:3 New Living Translation
“No Ammonite or Moabite or any of their descendants for ten generations may be admitted to the assembly of the LORD.

Revelation 22:14 New Living Translation
Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life.

Now this is the entrance gate to the New Jerusalem! Let the revelation of this verse be revealed to the reader!

Psalm 118:20 New American Standard Bible
This is the gate of the LORD; The righteous will enter through it.

Psalm 15 New American Standard Bible
A Psalm of David. O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill? 2He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart. 3He does not slander with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor takes up a reproach against his friend; 4In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, But who honors those who fear the LORD; He swears to his own hurt and does not change; 5He does not put out his money at interest, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

Job 1:5 New Living Translation
When these celebrations ended–sometimes after several days–Job would purify his children. He would get up early in the morning and offer a burnt offering for each of them. For Job said to himself, “Perhaps my children have sinned and have cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice.

Those purified or cleansed by intercession.

Ok. Moving forward.

The righteous ones, sanctified or purified, and living in holiness can enter the Lord’s presence. This is the very reason why sometimes, worship in the Church Service can easily manifest the presence of the Lord. The same opposite reason – when nothing seems to be happening.

Our Abba Father

Series #5

god-is-great-bar-26

God is Great.

Anyone who has experienced God can attest to this – that He is great! No reason to doubt that. No argument about it, either. It’s best to understand why, though, as written.

Jeremiah 10:6 English Standard Version
There is none like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might.

Why? See verse 10 – 10But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation.

Verse 3 onwards – Re idols: A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman. 4They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move. 5Their idolsb are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.

Isaiah 45 New International Version

4For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me. 5I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not  acknowledged me, 6so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is no other. 7I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things

Verse 12: 12It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts.

Who else can do these things? Only the Great God! Our Almighty Father!

Nehemiah 9:6 New Living Translation
“You alone are the LORD. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you.

Isaiah 37:16 New Living Translation
“O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, God of Israel, you are enthroned between the mighty cherubim! You alone are God of all the kingdoms of the earth. You alone created the heavens and the earth.

Exodus 15 – Song of Moses

2The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him— my father’s God, and I will exalt him! 3The LORD is a warrior; Yahweha is his name! 4Pharaoh’s chariots and army he has hurled into the sea. The finest of Pharaoh’s officers are drowned in the Red Sea.b 5The deep waters gushed over them; they sank to the bottom like a stone. 6“Your right hand, O LORD, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O LORD, smashes the enemy. 7In the greatness of your majesty, you overthrow those who rise against you. You unleash your blazing fury; it consumes them like straw.

Verse 11 and following:

11“Who is like you among the gods, O LORD—glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, performing great wonders? 12You raised your right hand, and the earth swallowed our enemies.

1 Kings 8 New Living Translation

22Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the entire community of Israel. He lifted his hands toward heaven, 23and he prayed, “O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you in all of heaven above or on the earth below. You keep your covenant and show unfailing love to all who walk before you in wholehearted devotion.

What more should I include here? What more can we shout about to declare the Lord’s greatness? His WORD confirms His greatness. His majesty is all over the place!

Psalms and a lot more of His prophets attest to all this. There is none greater than our God. We just have to trust in Him and pray for His greatness to be revealed to our blinded eye.

All glory to the great God of the Heaven’s Armies!

Driving and Casting Out

OUR AUTHORITY

MARK 3:14-15 Berean Study Bible
He appointed twelve of them whom He designated as apostles, to accompany Him, to be sent out to preach, and to have authority to cast out demons.

LUKE 9:1-2 Berean Study Bible
Then Jesus called the Twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and power to cure diseases. And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

WHAT JESUS DID!

MATTHEW 4:24 Berean Study Bible
News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering acute pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed–and He healed them.

Matthew Henry Commentary
4:23-25 Wherever Christ went, he confirmed his Divine mission by miracles, which were emblems of the healing power of his doctrine, and the influences of the Spirit which accompanied it. We do not now find the Saviour’s miraculous healing power in our bodies; but if we are cured by medicine, the praise is equally his. Three general words are here used. He healed every sickness or disease; none was too bad; none too hard, for Christ to heal with a word. Three diseases are named; the palsy, which is the greatest weakness of the body; lunacy, which is the greatest malady of the mind; and possession of the devil, which is the greatest misery and calamity of both; yet Christ healed all, and by thus curing bodily diseases, showed that his great errand into the world was to cure spiritual maladies. Sin is the sickness, disease, and torment of the soul: Christ came to take away sin, and so to heal the soul.

MATTHEW 8:16 Berean Study Bible
When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to Jesus, and He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.

In spiritual healing, the Scripture speaks the word, the Spirit gives the touch, touches the heart, touches the hand.

  • LUKE 4:40 New Living Translation
As the sun went down that evening, people throughout the village brought sick family members to Jesus. No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed every one

LUKE 4:41 Berean Study Bible
Demons also came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God.” But He rebuked the demons and would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Christ.

LUKE 7:21 Berean Study Bible
At that very hour Jesus healed many people of their diseases, afflictions, and evil spirits, and He gave sight to many who were blind.

LUKE 8:2 Berean Study Bible
as well as some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,

  • MARK 1:32 New Living Translation
That evening after sunset, many sick and demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus.

MARK 1:34 Berean Study Bible
And Jesus healed many who were ill with various diseases and drove out many demons. But He would not allow the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.

MARK 1:39 Berean Study Bible
So He went throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.

MARK 9:38-40 Berean Study Bible
John said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone else driving out demons in Your name, and we tried to stop him, because he does not accompany us.” But Jesus replied, “Do not stop him. No one who performs a miracle in My name can turn around and speak evil of Me. For whoever is not against us is for us.

SIGNS AND WONDERS FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN JESUS – OUR LORD!

MARK 16:17-18 Berean Study Bible
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will

  • drive out demons;
  • they will speak in new tongues;
  • they will pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them;
  • they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be made well.”

MARK 6:13 Berean Study Bible
They also drove out many demons and healed many of the sick, anointing them with oil.

As believers of our Lord, we ought to be able to do just as He had done, even more! – just as He had said. I believe we just have to rely on the Lord’s promise and have enough courage to take on the ministry – not for selfish reasons but for the good of all. Now who is willing to be sent out?

Read between the lines. The Lord will not send out anyone on a mission or a task without the equipping or enabling grace of God. The Holy Spirit leads us. We just have to learn how to listen to His guiding voice and follow.

john-14-12

John 14:12 Berean Study Bible
Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

All glory to God, our Almighty Father!
