The 18th of February 2017

We adjusted our Prayer Watch time from 12:00nn to 6:00pm to 6:00am to 12:00nn. All for the purpose of a mission: to go to Pampanga and have my Parent-in-Law accept the Lord.

We are just hoping for the best. We do not know how it will be.

So we traveled on the same day to Pampanga. Late afternoon, we arrived. Dinner. After dinner, we’re ready for bed – but we do intend to praise and worship the Lord and pray. My wife invited her parents if they wish to join – at least listen. They did!

By God’s grace, after a few song – I started to pray. God’s wisdom is indeed way too awesome compared to ours. No mind can conceive what He has prepared.

I was lead by the Holy Spirit into prayer – a prayer preaching. Asking the Lord to remind us of all the good things He has done for us. Since, we are singing that He is good, that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father. We just started thanking Him for all the good things He has done for us, and every great gift we received. Even our life! our breath! Then I mentioned about His love for us – in prayer. How He loved us and where is it written in the Bible. How we need a Savior – since we cannot save ourselves and that Jesus is the Savior, the only Name given to whom salvation may be found and that all authority in heaven and in earth was given to Him, that He is the only way to the Father, the truth and the Life. That in His presence, there is freedom – from sickness, from worries, from weakness. That in Him, if we believe, we will have eternal life.

Then, I invited them to accept the Lord. They just obliged. I asked twice if they are willing. They followed the prayer and all glory and honor to God! They received and accepted the Lord!

It was an open heaven!

Right after they received, I prayed for Healing! For Peace, and Joy in their hearts!

I then followed the instructions of the Holy Spirit. I anointed them to receive the following:

  1. Eternal Life
  2. Renewed Strength
  3. Healing

img_20170218_215559

Then, I started talking about how to pray and taught them. We also prayed for the desires of their heart. Among which are as follows:

  • For love to bind the entire family, from their Children down to the Grandchildren
  • For the students in the whole family to finish study and graduate
  • For a prosperous life of their Children down to the grandchildren
  • For their long life

My wife Cora showed them too, what to read in the Psalms. But we trust the Lord for their teachings. I already mentioned to them the Life in Christ teaching. It will happen soon…

img_20170218_215826

God worked and moved mightily! We prayed for this! We do not know exactly how it will happen but it did! The power of an earnest prayer of the righteous! James 5:16

Worth mentioning too, before this day, is the acceptance too of Lola Siony! She’s already 92, and she believed and accepted the Lord – by witnessing a praise and worship done by the CLSF Paco, House of Prayer, in our Friday Night Shabbat!

What’s Next After Acceptance?

Congratulations!

You are saved now! You are a Son of God! You are now redeemed!

What’s next?

Time now to learn. To be equipped. To know the things about the God you accepted. Otherwise, if you will not change and press-on, you just might not grow spiritually in the Lord.

God loves you and you cannot change that. You cannot be separated from His love. He made a way for you to know His Son. He even gave you the freedom of choice to choose if you will accept Him or not – we know the consequences. The Lord Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father…

  1. You need to be baptized.
  2. You will have to spend time reading His Word – the Bible.
  3. You will have to listen, read on the teaching New Life in Christ.
    1. To learn how to pray
    2. To learn how it is to be a Christian
    3. To learn how to worship2_corinthians_5_17-dupe-close-800x800

You will be changed by starting to change how you think. We will pick it up from here…

Ephesians 4:21-23 New Living Translation
Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.

Colossians 3:8-10 New Living Translation
But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.

How is this possible? You will learn this in the Teaching – New Life in Christ.

As an act of thanksgiving, praise and worship to God, we ought to:

Jonas 2:9 But I will offer sacrifices to you with songs of praise, and I will fulfill all my vows. For my salvation comes from the LORD alone.”

Psalm 50:14 Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High.

  • Psalm 50:23 But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.”

Romans 12:1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice–the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

Romans 15:1-2 We who are strong must be considerate of those who are sensitive about things like this. We must not just please ourselves. We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.

Acts 5:29 But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority. (meditate on the right application of this word)

  • Acts 4:19 But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him?

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

Saved BUT Undelivered

All Christians are saved.
1-john_1_9
I hope we won’t have to argue about that.
Let’s see. Are we really saved?
  • We believed in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ – that His name is above all names and that all authority in heaven and on earth is given Him. He redeemed us from our sins and cause us to be right in the eyes of God. He is the one and ONLY mediator between us men and God!
ACTS 10:43 New Living Translation
He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.”
ACTS 4:12 New Living Translation
There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”
1 TIMOTHY 2:5 New Living Translation
For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity–the man Christ Jesus.
MATTHEW 28:18 Berean Study Bible
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
When you believed our Lord Jesus Christ – you got saved! Others received the baptism (Acts 8:15) later on, and the teachings, but still – saved in the first place.
MARK 16:16 Berean Study Bible
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
ROMANS 10:13 Berean Study Bible
for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
ACTS 2:21 Berean Study Bible
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
And we can only call on the Lord’s name when we know His name – His being.
ACTS 2:38 Berean Study Bible
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Repentance is required before the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Repentance, for the forgiveness of sins and baptism of the Holy Spirit, for us to received the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
ROMANS 8

5Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. 6So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. 7For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. 8That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.

9But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) 10And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you lifed because you have been made right with God. 11The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

12Therefore, dear brothers and sisters,e you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. 13For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature,f you will live. 14For all who are led by the Spirit of God are childreng of God.

15So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children.h Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”i 16For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. 17And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.

Now we are sons and daughters of the living God! Are we?
However, despite being saved, despite being sons and daughters of the living God, there are situations and things in us that we are not yet able to get free from. This is where deliverance is needed. To set us free from this particular situation or being.
de·liv·er·ance
dəˈliv(ə)rəns/
noun
the action of being rescued or set free.
“prayers for deliverance”
From what situation? From what being?
LUKE 4:18 Berean Study Bible
“The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
MATTHEW 11:5 New International Version
The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.
When the Lord proclaimed the good news and forgive the sins of the people, they also get healed from whatever they need healing from. That must include the inner – our emotions. I believe that we cannot thank or praise God with a heavy heart or even when we are sad. So there must be a deliverance from :
  1. Emotional problems –
  • Irritable to others. An irritable question. Do you know one?
  • Little or No tolerance from expectations or demands
  • When offended, feelings of anger, hate and resentment rise up
  • Overly sensitive – easily angered and lashed-out
  • Hard to forgive
  • Hard to feel loved
  • Easily frustrated
  • Retaliation urges
  • Irresponsible behavior
  • Feelings of hopelessness
  • ..and many more
  1. Unclean Spirits – to name a few…
  • Spirits of bondage – which must be broken
  • Spirits of addiction, lust, perversion
  • Spirits of rebellion
  • Spirits of witchcraft, divination and the occult – which must be renounced

REVELATION 16:13-14 Berean Study Bible
And I saw three unclean spirits that looked like frogs, coming from the mouths of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. They are demonic spirits who work miracles and go out to all the rulers of the world to gather them for battle against the Lord on that great judgment day of God the Almighty.

MATTHEW 8:3 Berean Study Bible
Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said, “be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

…and last but not the least – Demons.

1 TIMOTHY 4:1 New Living Translation
Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.

2 THESSALONIANS 2:3 Berean Study Bible
Let no one deceive you in any way, for it will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness (the son of destruction) is revealed.

EPHESIANS 5:6 Berean Study Bible
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on the sons of disobedience.

1 SAMUEL 15:23

New International Version
For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.”

New Living Translation
Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols. So because you have rejected the command of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.”

DEUTERONOMY 18:10-11 New Living Translation
For example, never sacrifice your son or daughter as a burnt offering. And do not let your people practice fortune-telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft, or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead.

v.12 …Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD…

7-things-god-hates

Detestable practices…abominations to the Lord.

Such as…but not necessarily it. May or may not be the case for the Christian that you are BUT may or may not be to someone you know who accepted Christ and is still in bondage or torment of the spirits from their ancestors.

I have met Christians who say they are Christians but is the opposite of what I know our Lord Jesus Christ is.

  • Have you met a Christian who doesn’t know how to pray? The Lord prays a lot.
  • Have you met one who is always frustrated or easily saddened? The Lord is filled with joy. John 15:11
  • Have you met a Christian who is always sick? Or you know someone? The Lord heals.
  • Have you met someone who is tormented by demons? The Lord cast them out. Mark 3:15 even authorized the disciples.

MATTHEW 4:24 New Living Translation
News about him spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon possessed or epileptic or paralyzed–he healed them all.

MATTHEW 11:5 New International Version
The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.

As Christians, we ought to be living our life in Christ – a rich and satisfying life in Him, with Him and for Him.

john1010

JOHN 10:10 New Living Translation
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

But there’s an unseen battle – a battle with the unseen! Just because you don’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Angels and Demons and Spirits are real! As real as the Holy Spirit of the living God, our Sovereign Lord!

EPHESIANS 6:12 Berean Study Bible
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

How can someone see the unseen when he is afraid? The gift of an open spiritual eye is for the fearless and the brave whose trust is in the Lord. Demons are horrific. Unclean Spirits are disgusting. Evil Spirits are in many forms, and can be terrifying. If you would see them, would you run? Remember, an open spiritual eye is not limited to the heavenly beings. There’s Hell too!

So, are you saved and delivered or are you saved and undelivered? Seek the Lord and know for yourself. Only the Holy Spirit can reveal this to you. If you really are a son of the living God, you alone can answer that.

Remember, only the unbelievers can be possessed. Believers, however, can be influenced, or deceived, or both.

What Hinders

When we pray, God listens.

But He, our loving Father might not take action. He might even turn away from us. While He hears us, and is able to respond to us, he will not take any action on our request or plea for varied reasons:

WE HAVE A SIN. WE MUST CONFESS AND REPENT AND ASK FORGIVENESS FIRST – for the Lord to take action or even consider our plea.

IF YOU CRY, WOULD HE LISTEN? Plea then! You can never tell when you will be in a situation when all you can do is cry and ask the Lord for His mercy and help. This is a point of helplessness – but we must understand the power of God to whom we cry. He is All-powerful and more than able to give us what we ask, or even think of!

May the Lord be pleased in us, and our prayers...

  • Psalm 141:2 New Living Translation
Accept my prayer as incense offered to you, and my upraised hands as an evening offering.
  • 1 John 5:14 New Living Translation
And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.
  • 1 Peter 2:19-20 New Living Translation
For God is pleased with you when you do what you know is right and patiently endure unfair treatment. Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you.

God cannot be hindered. It is us who builds the wall that separates us from Him. We are the ones who fails to listen, and hear His loud voice. We are the ones who is blinded and cannot see His great mercy and love. Reconcile with God. Repent. Confess! So we may experience His abundant blessing and unfailing love in ways we cannot expect nor even think of!

Our Abba Father

Series #3

bemerciful

God is merciful. He made a way for us to be saved from our pitiful state in need of redemption.

Prophet Nehemiah has a lot to say about this when he prayed for Israel. (Bible reference is Nehemiah Chapter 9 starting from verses 6-31) There’s so much to learn about this prayer.

“May your glorious name be praised! May it be exalted above all blessing and praise!

6“You alone are the LORD. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you.

7“You are the LORD God, who chose Abram and brought him from Ur of the Chaldeans and renamed him Abraham. 8When he had proved himself faithful, you made a covenant with him to give him and his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites. And you have done what you promised, for you are always true to your word.

9“You saw the misery of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cries from beside the Red Sea.c 10You displayed miraculous signs and wonders against Pharaoh, his officials, and all his people, for you knew how arrogantly they were treating our ancestors. You have a glorious reputation that has never been forgotten. 11You divided the sea for your people so they could walk through on dry land! And then you hurled their enemies into the depths of the sea. They sank like stones beneath the mighty waters. 12You led our ancestors by a pillar of cloud during the day and a pillar of fire at night so that they could find their way.

13“You came down at Mount Sinai and spoke to them from heaven. You gave them regulations and instructions that were just, and decrees and commands that were good. 14You instructed them concerning your holy Sabbath. And you commanded them, through Moses your servant, to obey all your commands, decrees, and instructions.

15“You gave them bread from heaven when they were hungry and water from the rock when they were thirsty. You commanded them to go and take possession of the land you had sworn to give them.

16“But our ancestors were proud and stubborn, and they paid no attention to your commands. 17They refused to obey and did not remember the miracles you had done for them. Instead, they became stubborn and appointed a leader to take them back to their slavery in Egypt! But you are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and rich in unfailing love. You did not abandon them, 18even when they made an idol shaped like a calf and said, ‘This is your god who brought you out of Egypt!’ They committed terrible blasphemies.

19“But in your great mercy you did not abandon them to die in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud still led them forward by day, and the pillar of fire showed them the way through the night. 20You sent your good Spirit to instruct them, and you did not stop giving them manna from heaven or water for their thirst. 21For forty years you sustained them in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing. Their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell!

22“Then you helped our ancestors conquer kingdoms and nations, and you placed your people in every corner of the land.d They took over the land of King Sihon of Heshbon and the land of King Og of Bashan. 23You made their descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and brought them into the land you had promised to their ancestors.

24“They went in and took possession of the land. You subdued whole nations before them. Even the Canaanites, who inhabited the land, were powerless! Your people could deal with these nations and their kings as they pleased. 25Our ancestors captured fortified cities and fertile land. They took over houses full of good things, with cisterns already dug and vineyards and olive groves and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate until they were full and grew fat and enjoyed themselves in all your blessings.

26“But despite all this, they were disobedient and rebelled against you. They turned their backs on your Law, they killed your prophets who warned them to return to you, and they committed terrible blasphemies. 27So you handed them over to their enemies, who made them suffer. But in their time of trouble they cried to you, and you heard them from heaven. In your great mercy, you sent them liberators who rescued them from their enemies.

28“But as soon as they were at peace, your people again committed evil in your sight, and once more you let their enemies conquer them. Yet whenever your people turned and cried to you again for help, you listened once more from heaven. In your wonderful mercy, you rescued them many times!

29“You warned them to return to your Law, but they became proud and obstinate and disobeyed your commands. They did not follow your regulations, by which people will find life if only they obey. They stubbornly turned their backs on you and refused to listen. 30In your love, you were patient with them for many years. You sent your Spirit, who warned them through the prophets. But still they wouldn’t listen! So once again you allowed the peoples of the land to conquer them. 31But in your great mercy, you did not destroy them completely or abandon them forever. What a gracious and merciful God you are!

Another prophet who has prayed an intercession for God’s chosen people is Prophet Daniel. Chapter 9. Verses 3-19:

3So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and fasting. I also wore rough burlap and sprinkled myself with ashes.

4I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed:

“O Lord, you are a great and awesome God! You always fulfill your covenant and keep your promises of unfailing love to those who love you and obey your commands. 5But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. 6We have refused to listen to your servants the prophets, who spoke on your authority to our kings and princes and ancestors and to all the people of the land.

7“Lord, you are in the right; but as you see, our faces are covered with shame. This is true of all of us, including the people of Judah and Jerusalem and all Israel, scattered near and far, wherever you have driven us because of our disloyalty to you. 8O LORD, we and our kings, princes, and ancestors are covered with shame because we have sinned against you. 9But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him. 10We have not obeyed the LORD our God, for we have not followed the instructions he gave us through his servants the prophets. 11All Israel has disobeyed your instruction and turned away, refusing to listen to your voice.

“So now the solemn curses and judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured down on us because of our sin. 12You have kept your word and done to us and our rulers exactly as you warned. Never has there been such a disaster as happened in Jerusalem. 13Every curse written against us in the Law of Moses has come true. Yet we have refused to seek mercy from the LORD our God by turning from our sins and recognizing his truth. 14Therefore, the LORD has brought upon us the disaster he prepared. The LORD our God was right to do all of these things, for we did not obey him.

15“O Lord our God, you brought lasting honor to your name by rescuing your people from Egypt in a great display of power. But we have sinned and are full of wickedness. 16In view of all your faithful mercies, Lord, please turn your furious anger away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain. All the neighboring nations mock Jerusalem and your people because of our sins and the sins of our ancestors.

17“O our God, hear your servant’s prayer! Listen as I plead. For your own sake, Lord, smile again on your desolate sanctuary.

18“O my God, lean down and listen to me. Open your eyes and see our despair. See how your city—the city that bears your name—lies in ruins. We make this plea, not because we deserve help, but because of your mercy.

19“O Lord, hear. O Lord, forgive. O Lord, listen and act! For your own sake, do not delay, O my God, for your people and your city bear your name.”

In every prayer we must make confession, not only of the sins we have been guilty of, but of our faith in God, and dependence upon him, our sorrow for sin, and our resolutions against it. It must be our confession, the language of our convictions.

Afflictions are sent to bring men to turn from their sins, and to understand God’s truth. Here is a believing appeal to the mercy of God. It is a comfort that God has been always ready to pardon sin. It is encouraging to recollect that mercies belong to God, as it is convincing and humbling to recollect that righteousness belongs to him. There are abundant mercies in God, not only forgiveness, but forgivenesses.

In all our prayers this must be our plea, we must make mention of his righteousness, even of his only. The humble, fervent, believing earnestness of this prayer should ever be followed by us.

His prophets and the major characters of the Bible tells us of God’s mercy, His great and gracious mercy and compassion!

  • Psalm 78:38 New Living Translation
Yet he was merciful and forgave their sins and did not destroy them all. Many times he held back his anger and did not unleash his fury!
  • Numbers 14:18 New Living Translation
The LORD is slow to anger and filled with unfailing love, forgiving every kind of sin and rebellion. But he does not excuse the guilty. He lays the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected–even children in the third and fourth generations.
  • Deuteronomy 4:31 New Living Translation
For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon you or destroy you or forget the solemn covenant he made with your ancestors.
  • Lamentations 3:22 English Standard Version
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; – This is a popular song!
  • Psalm 103:10 New Living Translation
He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.

The Lord God himself say who He is.

  • Exodus 34:5-6 New Living Translation
Then the LORD came down in a cloud and stood there with him; and he called out his own name, Yahweh. The LORD passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The LORD! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.

We ought to be merciful to others – especially the poor who has no one to cry out to but to God. We ought to be merciful since our Father, our God, is merciful.

  • Proverbs 21:13 New Living Translation
Those who shut their ears to the cries of the poor will be ignored in their own time of need.
  • James 2:13 New Living Translation
There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you.
  • Matthew 5:7 New Living Translation
God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
  • Matthew 6:14 New Living Translation
“If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.

It’s a call from God, an order for us to follow, in our relationship to others:

  • Ephesians 4:32 New Living Translation
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
  • Colossians 3:12-13 New Living Translation
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
  • Mark 11:25 New Living Translation
But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”
  • Luke 6:37 New Living Translation
“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.
  • Jude 1:22-23 New Living Translation
And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.
  • Zechariah 7:9 New Living Translation
“This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says: Judge fairly, and show mercy and kindness to one another.”

week30-showmercyandkindness

God’s love abides in mercy.

  • 1 John 3:17 New Living Translation
If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion–how can God’s love be in that person?

What can we call ourselves when we refuse to be merciful? If our loving Father is merciful and we are not, what does that make of us?

We should rejoice about our loving God’s mercy! We should be jumping and shouting with great jubilation of His tender heart! For our many offenses, He forgave us. For our shortcomings, He looked on us with love, and compassion, and care.

Time to start thinking and reconsidering our ways. Let us renew our mind. Mercy!

Our Battles

A Spiritual Battle

battle-plan-cover-2

Ephesians 6:11-12 New Living Translation
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Who is the enemy?

  • satan
  • the devil
  • darkness
  • wickedness
  • sin – know this enemy – for you might be allies!
  • evil rulers and authorities (and someone you know comes to mind?)
  • evil spirits
    • demons
    • manipulating spirits
    • controlling spirits
    • witches
    • retaliating spirits
  • mighty powers – this I know nothing about…for to me, God alone is mighty!

Mark 3:9-11 New Living Translation
Jesus instructed his disciples to have a boat ready so the crowd would not crush him. He had healed many people that day, so all the sick people eagerly pushed forward to touch him. And whenever those possessed by evil spirits caught sight of him, the spirits would throw them to the ground in front of him shrieking, “You are the Son of God!”

Mark 5:6 New Living Translation
When Jesus was still some distance away, the man saw him, ran to meet him, and bowed low before him. With a shriek, he screamed, “Why are you interfering with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In the name of God, I beg you, don’t torture me!” For Jesus had already said to the spirit, “Come out of the man, you evil spirit.”

Their shrieks are always loud! Unpleasantly loud – like their disgusting looks!

Mark 9:25-26 New Living Translation
When Jesus saw that the crowd of onlookers was growing, he rebuked the evil spirit. “Listen, you spirit that makes this boy unable to hear and speak,” he said. “I command you to come out of this child and never enter him again!” Then the spirit screamed and threw the boy into another violent convulsion and left him. The boy appeared to be dead. A murmur ran through the crowd as people said, “He’s dead.”

Matthew 12:43 New Living Translation
“When an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, seeking rest but finding none. Then it says, ‘I will return to the person I came from.’ So it returns and finds its former home empty, swept, and in order. Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before. That will be the experience of this evil generation.”

Matthew 13:37 New Living Translation
Jesus replied, “The Son of Man is the farmer who plants the good seed. The field is the world, and the good seed represents the people of the Kingdom. The weeds are the people who belong to the evil one. The enemy who planted the weeds among the wheat is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world, and the harvesters are the angels. “Just as the weeds are sorted out and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the world.

Mark 4:18-19 New Living Translation
The seed that fell among the thorns represents others who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life, the lure of wealth, and the desire for other things, so no fruit is produced.

Proverbs 23 – (I believe this is not a literal saying. Seek the Lord’s revelation on this one)

1While dining with a ruler, pay attention to what is put before you. 2If you are a big eater, put a knife to your throat; 3don’t desire all the delicacies, for he might be trying to trick you.

James 4:17 New Living Translation
Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

Who or what do we battle for?

  • We battle for our salvation!
  • We battle for our loved ones!
  • We battle for the unsaved and the oppressed and the prisoners!
  • We battle for our destiny!

2 Corinthians 4:4 New Living Translation
Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

Acts 26:17-18 New Living Translation
And I will rescue you from both your own people and the Gentiles. Yes, I am sending you to the Gentiles to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’

Why? ☕

  • See John 10:9-10 New Living Translation
Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

Anyone who has experienced a heaven’s tour will understand this. (Jn 10:9)

We are victorious in Christ! God always win a battle!

How?

  • BE HUMBLE

James 4:7 New Living Translation
So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

  • DO NOT SIN IN ANGER

Ephesians 4:26-28 New Living Translation
And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil. If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.

  • DO NOT WORRY

1 Peter 5:7-9 New Living Translation
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.

Luke 21:34-36 New Living Translation
“Watch out! Don’t let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don’t let that day catch you unaware, like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man.”

  • FORGIVE

2 Corinthians 2:9-11 New International Version
Another reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven–if there was anything to forgive–I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

  • CARE

Luke 3:11 New Living Translation
John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”

  • FAST

Isaiah 58:6-11 New Living Translation
“No, this is the kind of fasting I want: Free those who are wrongly imprisoned; lighten the burden of those who work for you. Let the oppressed go free, and remove the chains that bind people. Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help. “Then your salvation will come like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal. Your godliness will lead you forward, and the glory of the LORD will protect you from behind. Then when you call, the LORD will answer. ‘Yes, I am here,’ he will quickly reply. “Remove the heavy yoke of oppression. Stop pointing your finger and spreading vicious rumors! Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.

  • PRAY

James 5:16 New Living Translation
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

  • Genesis 20:17
Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech and his wife and his maids, so that they bore children.
  • 2 Chronicles 30:20
So the LORD heard Hezekiah and healed the people.
  • James 5:17
Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years!
  • James 5:18 Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.

Prayer moves the heavenlies! When we pray, God not just listen but takes action according to what we pray. He commands it and it is done. He wills it, and it happens.

The fate of the enemy

Exodus 15:6 New Living Translation
Your right hand, O LORD, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O LORD, smashes the enemy.

This is a literal smash thing. If you have experienced a battle in deliverance, you will understand this! It’s a battle scripture – on spiritual warfare. Ask me how!

Psalm 11:6 New Living Translation
He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with scorching winds.

Psalm 18:14 New Living Translation
The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded amid the hail and burning coals. He shot his arrows and scattered his enemies; his lightning flashed, and they were greatly confused.

Psalm 140 NLT

6I said to the LORD, “You are my God!” Listen, O LORD, to my cries for mercy! 7O Sovereign LORD, the strong one who rescued me, you protected me on the day of battle. 8LORD, do not let evil people have their way. Do not let their evil schemes succeed, or they will become proud. 9Let my enemies be destroyed by the very evil they have planned for me. 10Let burning coals fall down on their heads. Let them be thrown into the fire or into watery pits from which they can’t escape. 11Don’t let liars prosper here in our land. Cause great disasters to fall on the violent.

This is worth trying. 🙂 More weapons, the better! (Again, this might not be understandable to someone who has not experienced deliverance and warfare.)

1 Samuel 2:2-10 New Living Translation
No one is holy like the LORD! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. “Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the LORD is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions. The bow of the mighty is now broken, and those who stumbled are now strong. Those who were well fed are now starving, and those who were starving are now full. The childless woman now has seven children, and the woman with many children wastes away. The LORD gives both death and life; he brings some down to the grave but raises others up. The LORD makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up. He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, placing them in seats of honor. For all the earth is the LORD’s, and he has set the world in order. “He will protect his faithful ones, but the wicked will disappear in darkness. No one will succeed by strength alone. Those who fight against the LORD will be shattered. He thunders against them from heaven; the LORD judges throughout the earth. He gives power to his king; he increases the strength of his anointed one.”

All glory to God in the highest!

Series #2

46cec244ead323cfa25710b26601f704_heart-graphic-god-is-love-god-is-love-clip-art_500-456

God is love. Who can argue?

This is not just a definition. I dare not. This is a mere introduction to one of the many attributes or qualities of God, our loving Father!

Love has many facets:

  • It’s an action. You love others, even yourself.
  • It’s a state of being. You are loved. You loved someone too.
  • It’s an emotion. One of the very complicated one.
  • It’s a gift
  • It’s an obligation to do or express or give
  • It’s so much more than just a word!

love_one_another

A command for our action.

Leviticus 19:18 New Living Translation
“Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

Matthew 5:44 New Living Translation
But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!

  • Proverbs 25:21 New Living Translation
If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them water to drink.
  • Exodus 23:4 New Living Translation
“If you come upon your enemy’s ox or donkey that has strayed away, take it back to its owner.

John 13:34 New Living Translation
So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.

John 15:12 New Living Translation
This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.

John 15:17 New Living Translation
This is my command: Love each other.

2 Timothy 2:22 New Living Translation
Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

1 John 3:11 New Living Translation
This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another.

1 John 4:11 New Living Translation
Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.

2 John 1:5 New Living Translation
I am writing to remind you, dear friends, that we should love one another. This is not a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning.

2 John 1:6 New Living Translation
Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.

if-you-love-me-won-t-you-let-me-know

Not the reason, but a way to measure or find out!

John 13:35 New Living Translation
Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

Romans 13:10 New Living Translation
Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.

1 John 2:5 New Living Translation
But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him.

1 John 3:10 New Living Translation
So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God.

1 John 3:14 New Living Translation
If we love our Christian brothers and sisters, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead.

1 John 4:7 New Living Translation
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.

1 John 4:8 New Living Translation
But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

1 John 4:18 New International Version
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

1 John 5:2 New Living Translation
We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments

1 Corinthians 8:3 New Living Translation
But the person who loves God is the one whom God recognizes.

No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.

1 John 4:16  New Living Translation
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.

1 John 4:20 New Living Translation
If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?

Romans 13:8 New Living Translation
Owe nothing to anyone–except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.

You asked how?

Matthew 7:12 New Living Translation
Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

Romans 12:9 New Living Translation
Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.

Romans 12:10 New Living Translation

  • Colossians 3:12-14 New Living Translation
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

livingtoplease

A long passage worth reading:

1 Thessalonians 4 – Live to Please God

1Finally, dear brothers and sisters,a we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more. 2For you remember what we taught you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.

3God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. 4Then each of you will control his own bodyb and live in holiness and honor— 5not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways. 6Never harm or cheat a Christian brother in this matter by violating his wife,c for the Lord avenges all such sins, as we have solemnly warned you before. 7God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives. 8Therefore, anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not disobeying human teaching but is rejecting God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

9But we don’t need to write to you about the importance of loving each other,d for God himself has taught you to love one another. 10Indeed, you already show your love for all the believerse throughout Macedonia. Even so, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you to love them even more.

11Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before. 12Then people who are not Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others.

There are many things to learn about our Father’s love. We just need to seek Him and experience His love the way a son should. Look also to Jesus, our Lord. He introduced us to the Father, and He showed us how to love. He gave his command and we ought to follow.

All glory to our Abba Father, the living God! And to our Lord Jesus, the King of glory!

just
jəst/
adjective
  •  based on or behaving according to what is morally right and fair.

God is just. Period. This is just one of the many awesome qualities He has. This is also our focus here – for this writing. From the Old to the New Testament of God’s Word.

Deuteronomy 10:17 New Living Translation
“For the LORD your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed.

Deuteronomy 24:16 New Living Translation
“Parents must not be put to death for the sins of their children, nor children for the sins of their parents. Those deserving to die must be put to death for their own crimes.

Isaiah 3:10-11 New Living Translation
Tell the godly that all will be well for them. They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned! But the wicked are doomed, for they will get exactly what they deserve.

Jeremiah 32:19 New Living Translation
You have all wisdom and do great and mighty miracles. You see the conduct of all people, and you give them what they deserve.

1 Samuel 2:3 New Living Translation
“Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the LORD is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions.

Job 34:17-19 New International Version
Can someone who hates justice govern? Will you condemn the just and mighty One? Is he not the One who says to kings, ‘You are worthless,’ and to nobles, ‘You are wicked,’ who shows no partiality to princes and does not favor the rich over the poor, for they are all the work of his hands?

Ecclesiastes 3:17 New Living Translation
I said to myself, “In due season God will judge everyone, both good and bad, for all their deeds.”

Ecclesiastes 11:9-10 New Living Translation
Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do. So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-2 New Living Translation
Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore. Remember him before the light of the sun, moon, and stars is dim to your old eyes, and rain clouds continually darken your sky. Remember him before your legs–the guards of your house–start to tremble; and before your shoulders–the strong men–stoop. Remember him before your teeth–your few remaining servants–stop grinding; and before your eyes–the women looking through the windows–see dimly.Remember him before the door to life’s opportunities is closed and the sound of work fades. Now you rise at the first chirping of the birds, but then all their sounds will grow faint.

Ezekiel 18:20 New Living Translation
The person who sins is the one who will die. The child will not be punished for the parent’s sins, and the parent will not be punished for the child’s sins. Righteous people will be rewarded for their own righteous behavior, and wicked people will be punished for their own wickedness.

Psalm 28:4 New Living Translation
Give them the punishment they so richly deserve! Measure it out in proportion to their wickedness. Pay them back for all their evil deeds! Give them a taste of what they have done to others.

Psalm 62:11 New Living Translation
God has spoken plainly, and I have heard it many times: Power, O God, belongs to you; unfailing love, O Lord, is yours. Surely you repay all people according to what they have done.

Psalm 94:9 New Living Translation
Is he deaf–the one who made your ears? Is he blind–the one who formed your eyes?

Proverbs 24:12 New Living Translation
Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.

Matthew 16:27 New International Version
For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

Acts 10:34-35 New Living Translation
Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.

Romans 2:9-11 New Living Translation
There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil–for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good–for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.

Romans 9:13-16 New Living Translation
In the words of the Scriptures, “I loved Jacob, but I rejected Esau.”  Are we saying, then, that God was unfair? Of course not! For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it.

Ephesians 6:8-9 New Living Translation
Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free. Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.

2 Thessalonians 1:6 New International Version
God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you.

Colossians 3:25 New Living Translation
But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.

Hebrews 6:10 New International Version
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

Revelation 15:3 New Living Translation
And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations.

His Word confirms it:

  • He is just or fair or morally right
  • He plays no favoritism
  • He remembers when you help His people
  • He remembers the love you show
  • He rewards us for the good we do
  • He accepts those who fear Him and do what is right
  • He gives glory, honor, and peace, to all who do good
  • He pays us for what we deserve
  • He repays us for what we have done
  • He gives us what we deserve
  • He shows no partiality
  • He cannot be bribed

Hence, we sing – ♪ Worthy is the Lamb / Seated on the Throne / Glory Honor Power to Him Alone / We will Bow to You / Wise and Just and True / Full of Glory Reign Forevermore! ♫

On Angels and Demons

New Things To Us

fearof

The world has instilled fear and gave a boxed explanation for each one. In truth, things are not as obvious to the naked eye. However, there are those who, after receiving Jesus Christ and accepting Him in his life, and making Jesus as King and Sovereign Lord, have received the Holy Spirit – and the Holy Spirit gifted with the eyes to see the Spirit realm. Such people can see anything and everything spiritual. This would include the following, but may or may not be limited at all:

  • angels
  • demons and evil spirits
  • works of the demons
  • movement of demons and evil spirits
  • weapons of the warrior angels
  • what they are wearing
  • the color of what they are wearing
  • the Lord of all!
  • God’s mighty hand
  • God’s throne
  • paradise
  • heaven’s gate
  • golden stairs, golden lampstand, golden cup, golden book, golden pen
  • silver things – swords, shields, etc.
  • waters – all forms
  • other many things…
    • people
    • their location
    • what is happening to them
    • attacks on them
    • spirits around them
    • disgusting faces of the evil spirits
    • horrible sight of the demons
    • witches and their doings

Now let us explore this, and clarify things:

  1. You are unbeliever like me before. Sinner. Disobedient. Unforgiving.
  2. You encountered the Lord – you received Him and make Him King and Savior!
  3. You got saved. You were given more knowledge – to know what is right and wrong
  4. You desired to know the Lord more, and in the process He revealed the Father – by the power of the Holy Spirit. More likely, you became prayerful, and a reader of His Word – the Bible.
  5. The Holy Spirit enabled you to change, and be holy and righteous – to be able to enter the Lord’s presence. More likely, you were delivered from filth and you repented of your sins.
  6. The Holy Spirit enabled you by giving you a gift. And there are many gifts.
  7. You received the ability to see the Spirit realm.

Now that you are a believer who received the Holy Spirit, you are now empowered.

Mark 16:17 New Living Translation
These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages.

Believers of Jesus Christ. Can speak tongues (an oxymoron). It’s actually a spiritual thing – speaking something no one can understood except the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the living God – our Sovereign Lord. If the few words before this sentence doesn’t make any sense to you, this writing is not for you. Note that you can only cast out demons in the name of our Lord Jesus – no other name is given.

Bear with me. Know the following scriptures, for your own sake. :

Acts 4:12 New Living Translation
There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

1 Timothy 2:5 New Living Translation
For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity–the man Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 8:6 New Living Translation
But we know that there is only one God, the Father, who created everything, and we live for him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God made everything and through whom we have been given life.

Matthew 11:27 New Living Translation
“My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

Matthew 28:18-19 New Living Translation
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Mark 16:15-16 New Living Translation
And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”

Ok. Let’s munch on this:

  1. One Savior
  2. One God, and One Mediator
  3. One Lord
  4. One Lord with all the authority in heaven and on earth
  5. One Lord who instructs all to :
    1. Make disciples of all nations
    2. Baptize the disciples
  6. One Lord who ordered to preach the good news around the world

12446087233_52025141de_b

Now, we are an empowered believer of Christ Jesus – a disciple baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

What happens now?

Our lives change. We are living daily for Christ. We are in constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit – the mighty Spirit of the living God, our Sovereign Lord! Going back – the Holy Spirit gave us gift to enable us to do things – for the glory of God!

Acts 1:8 New Living Translation
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere–in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 2:4 New Living Translation
And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

Acts 19:6 New Living Translation
Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied.

The tongues is a very powerful gift. And there are many gifts. Prophesying is another one.

1 Corinthians 12:4 New Living Translation
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all.

gifts

Luke 11:13 New Living Translation
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”

Now this is worth noting. Ask for the Holy Spirit and our heavenly Father will give. But we are past that. We are already empowered believer (Christian) of Christ – able to do things by God’s grace.

gods-children

Romans 8:15 Berean Study Bible
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”

And yes, to our great joy, we are adopted sons of God! We can always call to our Father any given time. He always watch us. He never leaves us. He protects and shields us from the enemy – and there are many!

How do we know we are God’s children?

Romans 8:16 New Living Translation
For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.

Romans 8:14 New Living Translation
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.

ministering

Who aids us – as children of God? His ministering angels!

Hebrews 1:14 Berean Study Bible
Are not the angels ministering spirits, sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Hebrews 1:7 New Living Translation
Regarding the angels, he says, “He sends his angels like the winds, his servants like flames of fire.”

Psalm 103:20-21 New Living Translation
Praise the LORD, you angels, you mighty ones who carry out his plans, listening for each of his commands. Yes, praise the LORD, you armies of angels who serve him and do his will!

Psalm 104:4 New Living Translation
The winds are your messengers; flames of fire are your servants.

Psalm 148:8 New American Standard Bible
Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;

1 Peter 3:22 New Living Translation
Now Christ has gone to heaven. He is seated in the place of honor next to God, and all the angels and authorities and powers accept his authority.

Our God is indeed just!

2 Peter 2:4 New Living Translation
For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment.

Jude 1:6 New International Version
And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling–these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.

worshipgod

Beware of worshipping the angels. Only God is to be worshipped!

Luke 4:8 New Living Translation
Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the LORD your God and serve only him.’

Colossians 2:17 New Living Translation
For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud, and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it.

end-times-bible-prophecy-unfolding-newspaper-headlines-scripture-being-fulfilled-now-begins

We are already in the last days. Expect the unexpected! The knowledge of God increases! He reveals new things about Him and His power. We ought to seek Him more now for His revelations. He alone can enable us to endure. He alone can rescue us in the coming tempest – for He alone knows everything.

Acts 2:17 Berean Study Bible
In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people; your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on My servants, both men and women, I will pour out My Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and clouds of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.

All glory to God, our loving Father – our Abba Father!

OTHER IMPORTANT SCRIPTURES:

Hebrews 2:1-4 New Living Translation
So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. For the message God delivered through angels has always stood firm, and every violation of the law and every act of disobedience was punished. So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak? And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose.

Romans 12:6 New Living Translation
In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.

Luke 9:1 New Living Translation
One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases.

Luke 20:35-36 New Living Translation
But in the age to come, those worthy of being raised from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage. And they will never die again. In this respect they will be like angels. They are children of God and children of the resurrection.

1 Corinthians 10:18-21 New Living Translation
Think about the people of Israel. Weren’t they united by eating the sacrifices at the altar? What am I trying to say? Am I saying that food offered to idols has some significance, or that idols are real gods? No, not at all. I am saying that these sacrifices are offered to demons, not to God. And I don’t want you to participate with demons. You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and from the cup of demons, too. You cannot eat at the Lord’s Table and at the table of demons, too.

2 Corinthians 6:15-18 New Living Translation
What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the LORD. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you. And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty.”

Mark 3:13 New Living Translation
Afterward Jesus went up on a mountain and called out the ones he wanted to go with him. And they came to him. Then he appointed twelve of them and called them his apostles. They were to accompany him, and he would send them out to preach, giving them authority to cast out demons.

Matthew 4:24 New Living Translation
News about him spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon possessed or epileptic or paralyzed–he healed them all.
